Jot - Browser Notes: Take & Save Notes on Webpages
Jot - Browser Notes is a free Chrome add-on developed by Samuel J Howard that allows users to easily take and save notes on webpages. With Jot, users can quickly create and customize notes while browsing without the need for an account.
One of the key features of Jot is the ability to place notes on any page online. Users can create Jot notes by using the convenient keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+z or by right-clicking anywhere within a webpage and selecting "Jot - Browser Notes". This makes it easy to jot down important information or ideas while browsing without interrupting the flow.
Jot notes can be customized to suit individual preferences. Users can change the color, add tags, and adjust the order of their notes. Additionally, notes can be copied and pasted, preserving their appearance and behavior. The size of a Jot note can be adjusted by dragging the bottom right corner of its textbox, and the title can be easily edited by clicking on the existing title and typing.
For easy access, users can pin the Jot extension and open the Jot popup by selecting the Jot icon in the top right of the browser. The popup allows users to add additional notes that only appear in the popup, show/hide/delete all Jot notes on the page, and manage notes with tags.
The options page of Jot provides users with further customization options for their Jot notes. It also serves as a central hub where all created Jot notes can be managed. Users can remove all note data from the extension, download their notes, and import previously exported notes.
Jot - Browser Notes is a convenient and user-friendly add-on for Chrome that enhances the browsing experience by allowing users to easily take and save notes on webpages. Its customizable features and intuitive interface make it a valuable tool for anyone who wants to stay organized and productive while browsing.
